The Mechanic

Games built for events where people walk.

Scan a QR code at a booth, a bar, a landmark, or a sponsor activation and the game advances. It's the one category no quiz or poll platform touches - and it's exactly what turns a sprawling show floor into a route people actually follow.

Turn Engagement Into Revenue

A Sponsored QR Game That Pays for Itself

QR Mobo Bingo turns trade shows, festivals, and bar crawls into sponsor-funded experiences. Attendees scan QR codes at booths, bars, and locations to complete squares - driving real foot traffic while creating a resellable engagement opportunity you can offer exhibitors as a paid add-on.

Resell participation as a sponsored upgrade.

Offer exhibitors a sponsored engagement upgrade with guaranteed booth visits and proof-of-interaction - new revenue without adding complexity to your event.

Capture opt-in attendee data on every scan.

Collect opt-in contacts, survey responses, or sponsor questions at each scan - then share or export the leads after the event.

Built for crawls, festivals, and restaurant weeks too.

Route players between bars on a crawl, vendors at a festival, or spots during a restaurant month - every stop is a square, and movement across the whole event is the game.

Launch across the whole floor in minutes.

It runs entirely in the browser. Create sponsor squares, assign QR codes, customize lead questions, and launch event-wide. No apps, no hardware, no staff training.

Reward check-ins with on-screen coupons.

Games like QR Scavenger Hunt and Once Upon a Crime can show players a reveal message when they check into a location - a coupon or offer they screenshot and show at the booth, bar, or shop to redeem on the spot.

How to Run It

No big screen required - though you can stream one if you want.

Most of these games run without a heads-up display. But if you want one, stream it to any number of locations to show live participation and the starting QR code players use to join - or just print that code and post it wherever you like.

Launch the host console, set your game's theme and brand, and define your locations - our built-in AI story builders can write the whole thing for you.

Print your in-game QR codes and hand them out to your real-world locations - booths, bars, or stops along the route.

Start the game from the host console whenever you're ready.

Players scan the starting QR code to join - and it's automated from there.

Introducing Bar Trivia - A New Host-Driven Trivia Experience from Gig Game

  • 18 May 2026
  • Gig Game Announcements

Today we're excited to launch an early preview of Bar Trivia, a new live multiplayer trivia experience built specifically for human hosts, bars, restaurants, streamers, and live event entertainment. Unlike our Trivia Night Game Show experience, Bar Trivia is designed around host-controlled pacing, crowd interaction, dramatic reveals, and real-world trivia nights where the emcee runs the room. This is trivia built for showmanship - giving hosts the tools to create live interactive experiences that feel more like a game show than a quiz app.

FAQ

Questions event teams ask us.

Do attendees need an app?

No. They scan a QR code at a booth or location and play in any phone browser. Nothing to install.

How do QR games drive booth traffic?

Each booth, vendor, or location gets its own QR code tied to a game step. Attendees have to show up to scan - unlocking bingo squares, clues, or hunt progress.

What can I hand sponsors afterward?

A downloadable lead and engagement file showing who played and which booths they visited - concrete proof of the traffic you drove.

We're expecting thousands of attendees. Can it scale?

Yes. Add audience-activation capacity per event - 100 up to 10,000+ - without changing your subscription. See the pricing table above.

Can we theme the story to our event or sponsor?

Yes. Once Upon a Crime and QR Scavenger Hunt include an AI Story Builder that generates a themed case or hunt in minutes - then you customize every detail.

Is there a long-term contract?

No. Large activations are per-event, everything else is monthly. Talk to a founder and we'll scope your show before you commit.

Do you offer setup or full run-of-show support?

Absolutely. The platform is built to run yourself, but we also offer a tailored service - anywhere from setup assistance to fully running the game for you on event day. Tell us what you need and we'll scope it.

What happens if the venue wifi is spotty?

Players join on their own phones over cell data, so you're not dependent on crowded venue wifi. As long as a phone can open a web page, it can scan and play.
