There are two kinds of friendships.

The first kind survives weddings, moving house, and helping someone assemble IKEA furniture.

The second kind ends because Steve played his last 2 instead of saving it to stop Karen becoming President for the fourth round in a row.

Today we're proud (and slightly concerned) to announce the release of Card Riot: President.

It's the classic card game known around the world as President, Asshole, Scum, Capitalism, Landlord, or "that game everyone swears they learned differently." We've taken that wonderfully chaotic social disaster and turned it into a tournament experience that belongs on the biggest TV in the room.

Democracy Was a Mistake

Most card games end with someone winning.

President begins there.

Finish first? Congratulations. You're now President.

Finish last? Congratulations. Society has decided you are Scum.

The next round starts exactly how healthy democracies don't: the President automatically confiscates the Scum's two best cards and graciously returns two cards they no longer wanted anyway.

Nothing says friendship quite like institutionalized inequality.

No Cards. No Downloads. No Excuses.

Everyone joins from their phone by scanning a QR code.

No app.

No installs.

No one pretending they "can't get it working" because they're losing.

The action plays out on a shared TV while the host controls everything from a console—timers, rules, bots, tournaments, sponsor breaks, and whatever house rule your uncle insists "is the real way to play."

The Bots Have Zero Sympathy

We didn't build random bots.

We built bots that remember strategy.

Bots that preserve combinations.

Bots that wait for the perfect moment to ruin your evening.

Better yet, they're scored exactly like human players.

If your tournament champion is a robot...

...that's on you.

We've Added More Ways to Mock Each Other

What's better than beating your friends?

Broadcasting it.

Card Riot includes an optional AI voice announcer that calmly narrates your public humiliation.

"Jason has become Scum."

"Dave skips Jason."

"Jason remains Scum."

It somehow sounds worse when delivered with professional confidence.

Meanwhile everyone else is launching giant laughing emojis across the screen from their phones while pretending they're "just reacting."

Sure.

We Also Added Sponsor Breaks

Because nothing says intense competition quite like:

"Before we continue humiliating Steve... here's a message from tonight's drink specials."

Bars love them.

Players love the chance to refill.

Steve appreciates the emotional recovery time.

Revolution!

Want more chaos?

Turn on Revolution.

Or Skips.

Or Jokers.

Or Four-of-a-Kind clears.

Or Last Card Restrictions.

Or Pass Locks.

Or every single rule at once if your goal is to ensure nobody remembers how the game works by Round 3.

The Dream: Becoming First World President

One casual game is fun.

A tournament is where things become legendary.

Run multiple tables simultaneously, earn points every round, advance through brackets, and crown a single World President.

Everyone else receives the equally prestigious honor of explaining why they were eliminated by someone's grandmother.

Is This Gambling?

No.

There is no wagering.

No cash prizes.

No betting.

Just pure competitive card gaming.

The emotional damage, however, remains completely authentic.
