Available now in Trivia Night and Bar Trivia

Trivia just got two brand-new ways to play.

Alongside Standard, Bluff, and Text Input questions, you can now add Majority Rules and Survey Says to any trivia set—bringing crowd opinion, rankings, and game-show style reveals to your games.

🗳️ Majority Rules

There isn't a correct answer—only the popular one.

Players vote for the option they think the rest of the room will choose. When everyone's locked in, the results reveal ranks every answer by popularity, and everyone who picked with the crowd scores points.

Perfect for opinion questions, "most likely to..." prompts, would-you-rather debates, and icebreaker rounds.

📊 Survey Says

Bring the classic game-show reveal to your trivia night.

Survey Says works for both crowd surveys and ranked lists. Players lock in the answer they think belongs highest on the board, then the host reveals every answer one at a time—from the bottom of the list to the top—building suspense until the #1 answer is revealed.

The closer a player's guess is to the correct ranking, the more points they earn.

Use it for everything from Family Feud-style survey boards to rankings like "Best Disney Movies," "Largest U.S. Cities," or "Top NFL Quarterbacks."

Building your questions

Both formats are created right where you already build your trivia sets—no separate content type or imports required.

  • Choose the format per question or in bulk. Open any question and select Majority Rules or Survey Says from the same Format menu as Standard and Bluff. Building an entire themed round? Change the format for multiple questions at once.
  • Generate Majority Rules rounds with AI. The Bulk Question Builder can generate complete opinion rounds automatically. Give it a topic like Pancakes vs. Waffles, Coffee vs. Tea, or Beach vs. Mountains, and it'll create a ready-to-play set of Majority Rules questions.
  • No correct answer to mark. Neither format uses a single correct answer, so simply write your question and list the choices—there's no correct-answer checkbox to manage.
  • Survey Says: answer order matters. Enter answers from #1 at the top to the lowest-ranked answer at the bottom. Whether you're creating a crowd survey or a ranked list, that order becomes the official board used for scoring and the animated reveal. You'll need at least two answers, with the same six-answer maximum as every other question type.
  • AI voice lines generated automatically. When using Trivia Night's AI host with generated voice lines, Survey Says automatically creates an individual reveal line for each answer as it's uncovered.

Once your questions are built, there's nothing else to configure.

Running them

  • Bar Trivia: Choose either format live from the Pick Next Question screen, or make one the default for an entire round in Game Play Settings.
  • Trivia Night: Your AI host runs both formats automatically, complete with custom animations and reveal sequences.

That's it. No additional setup is required.

Majority Rules and Survey Says are available to everyone today at no extra cost. Existing trivia sets won't change unless you choose to use the new formats.
